Restaurants in Kato Paphos

Below are a selection of places I would recommend to eat.

Pambis Diner

This serves international food.  The portions are large and the bills are reasonable.  The diner is 2 minutes walk from the apartment and there are directions in the apartment's welcome pack.

The Rugby Arms

This is run by a friendly british couple.  The food is traditional english.  There are large portions and it is excellent value for money.  A real home from home experience.  I can recommend the steak pie or curry in particular!

It is situated in Ikarou Street. 

From the apartment turn left, right, left across the dual carriage way and then right at the Apomera Tavern.  The Rugby Arms is in the right hand side.

Apomera Tavern

The restaurtant serves mainly traditional greek/cypriot style food.

Eating is outside.

The food is really nice and is reasonably priced.

The Imperial

This is a really lovely chinese restaurant.  The staff are dressed in traditional chinese costume and the atmosphere is great.  It is quite expensive, but if you stick to the set menu for two or more, it helps to keep the costs down.

The restaurant is situated in Poseidonos Avenue, towards the harbour, near to the municipal beach/fountain.

Vienna Bar

This is one of my favourites.   The main food served is italian and english style food.

The restaurant has a lovely art deco feel and it is light and airy.

The staff are very friendly and helpful.  Service is excellent.

If you like white wine, I can recommend the house dry white - lovely.

The restaurant does get full, so get their early.  If you miss out on a table there is a nice bar area.

The restaurant is situated underneath the Imperial Restaurant (see above).

Rendevous

This restaurant serves international food.

The food is of the best quality I have tasted in Paphos.

The service is really good and the food is reasonably priced.

The restaurant is situated near to the Avanti Hotel

Crocodile Bar

If you are looking for a nice, reasonably priced meal, this is the place to go.  It is particularly nice at lunch time.

The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff really friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

Sunbow

This restaurant serves international food.

The food is good and there is plenty of it.  The prices are reasonable.

The staff are very friendly and last time we went, one of the chefs kept coming out of the kitchen dressed in different outfits. The children and adults were all kept well entertained!

Adelaida Restaurant

This restaurant focuses mainly on greek/cypriot style food.

It offers good value for money and there is usually a set menu choice with a free bottle of wine.

The fish is served whole (with the head on), which may not be to everyone's choice, but it is very nice!

The portions are huge.

It is situated opposite the Almyra Hotel (at the bottom of Bar Street, turn left).

New Delhi

This is an Indian restaurant.

The food is as nice as you will get in any indian restaurant back at home.

The prices are in line with those you will pay at home.

The restaurant is nicely decorated  inside and it is air conditioned.

It is situated  next to the Amathus Hotel.

Pelican Restaurant

In the high of the season, a bell chimes and two pelicans run out and mingle amongst the customers.

The food is international, with a strong emphasis on greek/cypriot food.

The restaurant overlooks the harbour, so it is a very pleasant experience, particularly if you can get a table outside.

The staff are very friendly and make a great fuss of the ladies in particular!

The restaurant is quite pricey though, which is the downside.  I think the price really is down to the location, great service and well cooked food.

Fat Mamas

Serves american/italian cuisine.

The waiters put on various shows throughout the night.  The quality of the entertainment is very good, so much so that the restaurant is full up most nights.

You cannot book, but make sure you get there earlish, otherwise you may have to wait to be seated.

Situated on Tomb of the Kings Road (a 10-15 minute taxi drive away from the apartment).
